Abstracts will be released on website only (no printed booklets will be published).
Online abstracts can be accessed by registrants who have completed registration procedure from Nov. 20th.

1. Requirements for presenter
   Presenters are required to be MBSJ members who have paid the annual membership fee for 2009.
   If you are non-member, please apply membership first. Join MBSJ
   If you are a member but have not paid this year’s annual membership fee yet, please complete payment before submission.
2. Registration ID
   All those who submit papers are required to register as a participant beforehand.
   Please refer to registration page for how to obtain Registration ID. You need to enter this ID when submission.
3. One presenter, one paper,
   As a first author / presenter, you can submit ONLY ONE PAPER.
4. Notes
   We do not plan to extend the open period at this moment.
   Please keep it in mind that we cannot accept any submission or correction after deadline.

1. How to submit abstracts
   Submission page will be linked at the bottom of this page during the open period. Please follow the indication on the submission page and enter necessary items and words.
   As noted above, registration ID is required for abstract submission. Please complete advance registration for participation first.
2. FAQ for the online submission system
   We collect papers via UMIN online abstract submission system.
   If you have questions regarding the system, please refer to FAQ page before inquiring to the secretariat.
3. Invited speakers / Free papers
   There will be 2 submission pages. One is for the invited speakers only.
   If you are not the invited speaker, please submit abstract from “Abstract Submission page for Free Papers”.
4. Topics of poster presentation
   Please choose 1 or 2 topics for your poster presentation from the topic list.
5. Adoption for workshops
   All the free presenters are expected to make poster presentation, and some papers will be chosen for oral presentation at workshop as well. Apply when you submit abstract if you wish to make an oral presentation.
6. Member number
   In the process of abstract submission, you are required to enter your membership number.
   If you lost or forgot the number, please inquire for MBSJ Sectetariat.
7. Payment date of annual membership fee
   You need to enter the date when you have paid 2009 annual membership fee.
   In case you do not have the date, please enter as follows;
   • Case 1: Surely paid but lost the receipt:
     Enter “Jan. 3^rd, 2009” as date of payment.
   • Case 2: Soon to be paid but not yet:
     Enter “Jan. 2^nd, 2009” as date of payment.
   • Case 3: Still in the course of membership application procedure:
     Enter “Jan. 1^st, 2009” as date of payment.
8. Length of abstract
   Your abstract is required to be less than 1,700 bytes including spaces, titles and authors. If your abstract has too many characters, it will be printed in very small fonts. If the number of the character exceeds the limit, you need to shorten your paper.
9. Receipt Code and Password
   When you complete abstract submission successfully, you will receive automatic message with ‘RECEIPT CODE’ by e-mail. This code and password you create in the submission page will be necessary to view and edit your abstract. In case you do not receive the e-mail message, please check the e-mail address you have entered and try to submit once again.
10. Correction of Submitted Abstracts
    You can modify abstract you have submitted via online only for the open period. (unavailable after deadline).
11. Withdrawal of Submitted Abstracts
    You can withdraw abstract you have submitted via online only for the open period. (unavailable after deadline).
12. Notice of Acceptance / Rejection
    Acceptance Notice will be sent to you by e-mail in October.
