Information for Chairpersons (including Digital Poster,
Symposium, Workshop, Selected Oral Presentation)

  1. Arrival (Chairpersons of Digital Poster, Symposium and Workshop)
    Please come to the staff desk located at front in the right of the presentation room by 15 minutes prior to the start time. For chairpersons of Selected Oral Presentation, please read “2”.
  2. Selected Oral Presentation
    The presenter who finished her/his presentation will be a facilitator of next presentation. The last presenter of the session will be a facilitator of the first presentation. Please come to the staff desk at front in the right of the presentation room for inquiries.
  3. Proceeding sessions and Timing
    Session chairs are expected to ensure each presenter’s allotted presentation time. Presentation time for Digital Poster is set short: 5 minutes (3 minutes for presentation, 2 minutes for discussion). Chairpersons of Digital Poster session have the right and are responsible for ending presentations in the event that resenters exceed their allotted presentation time.

Information for Presenters of Symposium, Workshop and Selected Oral Presentation

  1. Arrival
    Please arrive at the “PC Preview Desk” at front in the left of the session room 20 minutes prior to your presentations with your own laptop computers. Please pick up your laptop computer after your presentation ends.
  2. Presentation method
    Presentations are restricted to computer presentation using your own laptops.
    (Please read carefully “5. Technical Requirements for your Laptop Computer”.)
  3. Presentation Time
    Presenters are requested to finish their presentation within the given time.
  4. Audio output
    Audio output is not available.
  5. Technical Requirements for your Laptop Computer
    Both Windows and Macintosh computers are available for presentation.
    A D-sub 15 pin monitor connector is necessary to connect your laptop to the projector equipment provided in the presentation rooms. If your computer has a special-format monitor output terminal, bring a D-sub 15 pin conversion adaptor.
    • Bring the AC adaptor for your computer.
    • Deactivate password lock, screen-saver and power-saving mode in advance.
    • Bring backup data of your presentation (CD-R or USB Flash Memory) in case of computer troubles.

Information for Digital Poster Presenters

    Please upload your presentation data to our system prior to the meeting.

  3. Arrival
    Please arrive at “Next Speaker’s Seat” on the left-hand side facing forwards inside the presentation room 10 minutes prior to your presentation.
  4. Presentation method
    Please use the computer placed on the podium. Your uploaded presentation data will be saved in this computer and it is ready for presenting.
  5. Language
    No designated languages
  6. Presentation time and important notes
    Allotted time for each presenter is 5 minutes (3 minutes for presentation, 2 minutes for discussion). Please end your presentation within your allotted time. Number of slides should be no more than 5 and in order of background, purpose, method and result. Chairpersons are in charge of proceeding each session. Presenters must follow their chairpersons’instructions. Please note that chairpersons have the right and are responsible for ending presentations in the event that presenters exceed their allotted presentation time.

For Re-selected Presenters of Selected Oral Presentation

  1. Re-selection
    Among those who are applied for but not selected for Selected Oral Presentation prior to the meeting, have chances to be selected for Selected Oral Presentation through their Digital Poster presentations. Total 6 papers will be re-selected for Selected Oral Presentation. Envisioning Selected Oral Presentation, please prepare your presentation slides for 12 minutes presentation and 3 minutes discussion.
  2. Re-selection result
    Results of re-selection will be announced after the Best Poster Presentation Award Ceremony on the evening of the day 2.

Information for Poster Presenters

  1. Presentation
    Main Hall, 1F, Sapporo Convention Center
  2. Presentation Method
    Attach a yellow ribbon on your chest and stand in front of your poster panel during your presentation and discussion time.
    There will not be a chairperson proceeding the poster sessions. Both yellow ribbon and tacks will be prepared at each presentation panel.
  3. Poster Presentation Guidelines
    • Poster Panel Size: Width 90 cm × Height 210 cm
    • Poster number is on the upper left of each panel prepared by the secretariat.
      Tacks will be prepared at each presentation panel by the meeting secretariat.
    • Please indicate your presentation title, affiliation(s), author(s) on the right side of the poster number within the size of 65 cm wide × 25 cm high. Please put “o”before the name of presenter. The poster title should be written large enough to be read 5 m away. We recommend you to use the word size bigger than 36-point.
    • The poster text should be written large enough to be read 3 m away. We recommend you use the word size bigger than 18-point.
  4. Posting, presentation and removal
    Poster presentations (P-001 to P-349) * All posters must be presented on both days.

    Posting April 24, Until 18:30
    Presentation/ Discussion April 23, Odd poster number: 17:40–18:10 (30 minutes)
    Even poster number: 18:10–18:40 (30 minutes)
    April 24, Odd poster number: 17:30–18:00 (30 minutes)
    Even poster number: 18:00–18:30 (30 minutes)
    Removal April 24, 18:30–19:00 (must be removed within this time limit)

    ・Please note that the all poster are removed and disposed by the secretariat after the removal time is over.
